As part of the restructuring of our events for the 2019 racing season there will be no coaching arranged by BMXNSW on the Saturday for each event.

BMXNSW want to leave this open to the host club of each event to utilise this period on the Saturday as they choose. This is designed to take the pressure off the host club to have the track ready for 8.00am on the Saturday for BMXNSW.

The host club will have use of the track up to 2.00pm on the Saturday when it will then be handed over to BMXNSW for the official event (for the San Remo Club who have a Saturday Race Event the cut off time will be 11.00am).

All aspects of the race event after 2.00pm will remain the same as 2018 (club will provide officials for the 3.00pm Saturday Gate Session and Sunday Age Practice Sessions).

BMXNSW will provide medics for both the 3.00pm Saturday Gate Session and Sunday Age Practice Sessions and for racing.

Some of the options for the host club are;

  • Running a Beginner Coaching Course

...

  • Run coaching sessions with club coaches or external coaches (recommended fee of between $15.00 and $30.00 per rider per session)

  • Run a morning gates session

  • Run a morning clubby

  • Use the time for track work or maintenance

  • Do nothing at all and relax

Remember that any coaching or gates or clubby must have 1st Aid present. If you are wanting to arrange external medics for any coaching or gates you have there is the option to use Emergency Medics Australia (as used by BMXNSW for our events) please feel free to call Russell

Can I ask that what ever your club decides to do on the Saturday that you post it on your club FaceBook page and Club App (if applicable) no later than 1 week from your event and, if the details are forwarded to BMXNSW at the same time then this can also put it on the BMXNSW App.

Please feel free to comment below if you have any questions or feedback.

Kind Regards,

Bluey Seaton - BMXNSW Director of Racing
