BMXNSW are also excited to present the 2019 State Merit Team.
The age classes that qualify for the 2019 State Merit Team are the 8-12 years boys and girls who received a jersey at the 2018 State Championships Dinner at Castle Hill RSL for finishing in the Top 3 for the 2018 State Series in these 20” age classes only.
Only members of NSW Clubs qualify (riders from ACT are not eligible).
If a top 3 position is filled by an ACT rider then this position in the Merit Team will be left vacant for the 2019 State Merit Team.
The State Merit Team Members will be provided with training sessions by the State Team Members and Mentor at locations to be determined by the State Team Mentor and Manager. This information and dates will be distributed as it becomes available to the parents and riders via the BMXNSW App.
There is no Team Manager for the State Merit Team.
There will be 2 individual training sessions per year (the final number will be dependent on what the schedule is for the State Team training or testing days.
These sessions will not be done at the same time as the State Team sessions but will likely be on the same day. All State Merit Team Members will be required to wear their State Series jersey for these training sessions.
Attendance is not mandatory but it will be an opportunity missed to work with the top riders in NSW if you don’t attend.
The training sessions are designed to reward those younger riders for their result and, to also give the BMXNSW State Team Members the opportunity to put back into the youth of the sport through their knowledge and experience to assist the younger riders to achieve their own goals.Thank you BMNXSW
